What is Recreational Soccer?

Recreational Soccer is a program where teams are formed without regard to skill levels. There are no tryouts or assessments involved in forming teams. Recreation soccer emphasizes fun, exercise, and soccer skill development. It is also competitive, but does not stress scores and winning and losing. You will not find standings on the Rec league page.

The rec league is driven by volunteer coaches and coordinators, who attempt to grow the sport of soccer by the promotion of fun and fair play. The earliest Rec program is Pre-K starting at ages of about 4 yrs old. Coaches stress very basic skills at this age. As the children progress more skills are introduced as well as laws of the game and game tactics. Length of play is agreed upon by the coaches as age appropriate as well as number of players on the field. The biggest goal of this league is to HAVE FUN.
